On Nov 15th 2017, I attended the menu launch at Signature Restaurant, Dubai. The event was graced by the presence of the man himself behind the restaurant – Sanjeev Kapoor, most renowned celebrity Indian chef. The event was attended by bloggers and media peoples. We also had the exclusive chance to meet and greet him.
The fine dining restaurant located in Melia Dubai, offers authentic Indian and signature dishes created by Chef Sanjeev Kapoor.
As with the interiors, the restaurant has low lighting and classy décor. They also have a beautiful outdoor dining area as well. With the advent of winter, I recommend dining at the outdoor area and relishing some Indian curries.
The new menu definitely had some interesting starters added.
New Age Baby Corn Cracker – This one was definitely different but it didnt not please my buds. The baby corn was spicy and had a lot of masalas, capsicum and tomatoes sliced stacked on top.
Mascarpone Cheese Dahi Wada – Absolutely liked this one! The crunchy base, the dahi and the mascarpone cheese was a unusual but delicious combination.
Dori Wali Seekh With Ulta Tawa Paratha – Who doesnt love Seekh Kebabs right? Succulent seekh covered with tawa paratha. A combination no one could say no to!
Basil Flavored Stuffed Chicken Breast and Chicken Tikka Ki Gilawat. – Soft warm cutlet like texture and slightly cold cream on top.
Corn flakes crusted sous-vide prawns – These prawns were delish! Crunchy outside the the well-cooked inside. I went for a second take!
For mains I tried the Lamb Mince Pilaf, Soya Methi Bharta and Rotis. I enjoyed the Lamb Pilaf, apt spices and the minced pieces definitely enhanced the flavor. The Soya Methi and the Rotis went well together too.
The best part – Desserts!
The new menu had a lotta interesting and diverse desserts.
